On that note, the Dragoon sucks arseclown so if he modelled that one as well then any bonus points he's given because of the awesome looking Algos should be taken away because of the ****** dragoon. That thing is awful.

it's a fat, pregnant coercer. You people must be delusional. I think it looks great. had another close look at it and the judgement is out: it's still a fat, pregnant coercer.
It's a terribly lazy design, it's similarly shaped as the Coercer and Purifier (which I'm also not a fan of) and actually reminds me of this. It's front heavy and shows a lack of effort and time investment by its designer. It looks as if CCP simply didn't bother.
The Algos to me looks like someone put in great care, joy and detail into the design. I bet that design took a lot of talking between devs to create something that's "out there" resulting in someone being very proud of the outcome. it's the same with the Corax in that respect (also, I wouldn't at all mind if this Corax would herald the new Caldari design language and CCP would redo the Caldari V3 stuff in a while).
The Talwar is already suspect and borderline boring, I bet there was a "please, lets not make a Cane/Cyclone/Rifter/Rupture clone" going on, resulting in a complete loss of design options and a "well, at least it's different". I'm not saying it's necessarily ugly but it shows a lack of commitment. Still, it's better off than the Dragoon (which is a crappy name for an Amarr ship to begin with).
I wouldn't be surprised if the Algos and Corax were made by the same designer but he didn't do the Dragoon and/or Talwar, or perhaps he ran out of time and had to rush them.
